The mission of the one-five Foundation “is to acquire resources to be used for programs and projects to enhance and supplement the educational experience of District 15 students.”

The one-five Foundation is an autonomous 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to acquire resources to be used for programs and projects to enhance and supplement the educational experience of Community Consolidated School District 15’s students. It was founded in 1989 under the name, District 15 Educational Foundation, by a partnership of parents, community members, and local businesses, and it is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees from the District 15 community. To date, it has invested nearly $2 million+ toward advancing the educational experience of District 15 students through various programs and events.

Programs like these benefit all 20 schools in District 15, but, generally speaking, they are not financed by taxpayer dollars.

They are funded by the one-five Foundation in large part through the community’s support of such Foundation fundraisers and events.

Proceeds from all of these fundraisers, as well as grants and sponsorships from businesses and general donations from individuals and families, help the one-five Foundation continue to support your school.

Similarly, the Foundation is always looking for community members that want to help improve the education of children to join its efforts.
